The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol 2010 BRRip

Spoiler :

Unable to hold down a job and distracted by his lifelong dream of going to Hollywood to be an actor, Tommy Pistol is given an ultimatum by his wife, “It’s us or your dream.” Twelve months later while pumping penis and watching porn, Pistol drifts off into a fitful slumber and into a nightmarish landscape filled with snuff, gore, and oozing, possibly contagious, Staph infections.

From eager dreamer to a jaded, overweight porn director…is this the gruesome death of Tommy Pistol or does a fate far worse await him?

Admittedly I’m no fan of low budget horror cinema, let alone a low budget horror comedy, but I simply could not pass up the opportunity to review The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol. Not only was this film a low budget affair but it was a horror comedy on par with something one might expect to see released from Troma. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is completely up to the viewer but, for this reviewer, the real draw was Pistol himself and I wasn’t about to be put off by budgetary constraints.

The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol is a goofy, gory romp indeed and one that certainly puts Pistol through his paces, allowing him to flex his acting chops, specifically his uncanny comedic timing. If you’ve never seen Pistol in action I’d highly recommend checking out his work, adult or otherwise. I don’t usually pay too much attention to male actors in porn but Burning Angel’s hardcore sex spoof The XXXorcist really opened my eyes to his potential. I mean it’s not every day you find yourself laughing your ass off with your hard-on in your hand. Yeah, I went there.

I laughed out loud, I cringed and I wondered when we were going to see Caleb Emerson unzip his man-suit and reveal himself to be none other than Lloyd Kaufman in disguise. The gore was nasty and grisly, the Slip’n Slide and Kitchen Chopper were genius, and the acting, even from some of the extras, was surprisingly decent. Was it all over-the-top and outrageous? Absolutely, this wasn’t meant to be taken seriously but viewers should, in my opinion, take Pistol’s acting quite seriously as I believe we’ll be seeing him a lot more as his star continues to rise in indie genre cinema.

Director Aramis Sartorio’s first film hasn’t been picked up yet but I can see this easily getting picked up so keep an eye out for a release date.
